A weak winter storm will continue to generate showers across many areas of southwest California through tonight and into Tuesday morning. As colder air moves southward expect most of the showers and isolated thunderstorms to be found across eastern San Luis Obispo County, the mountains of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, and the Antelope Valley. Snow levels will lower to about 3000 feet at times through Tuesday morning creating the potential for accumulating snow along frequently traveled highways, such as the I-5 Grapevine, highway 33 in Ventura County, and highway 14 in Los Angeles County. Light precipitation totals are expected for the majority of southwest California through Tuesday morning. The storm system will move east of the region by Tuesday afternoon. (click for more)
